Alzheimer’s Caregivers Invited to Attend Dementia Conference for Free

Are you caring for a family member or loved one with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia? If so, you might be interested in an upcoming conference featuring nationally acclaimed dementia expert Teepa Snow.

The conference is free for caregivers, with scholarship funds available to assist with respite help or transportation costs. Presented by the Neponset Valley Alzheimer’s Partnership, the conference is a full-day event held at Lake Pearl Luciano’s in Wrentham, MA (30 minutes from Boston and Providence).

Learn more about Teepa Snow and her background and approach here:

Snow will present two major sessions:

Progression Through Dementia
Seeing more than loss, attendees will learn to identify how to help an individual with dementia by recognizing abilities, losses and how to provide help at each level of dementia

Coping with Challenging Behaviors
Acquire a better understanding of the role environment, medical issues and sensory stimulation has on behaviors, as well as how to approach and intervene.

There will also be a continental breakfast, information booths, and raffle prizes.
